Explora II Cruise - February, 2026
Day 10 – Sea Day
Friday, February 13
As we are getting close to the end of the trip, I want to go around the ship and look at some of the areas I haven't covered previously.
Whisky bar and indoor cigar lounge:
Art gallery:
Shops:
Here's the walking track on Deck 12 and the covered day beds:
We've been on several ships that had a retractable roof over their indoor pool, but I've never actually seen one opened before. Glad to know these actually work!
Today's lunch was from Emporium Marketplace. They had a what was labeled as a "Taco Bar" but there were no actual taco shells, so we had them make nachos:
I also had one of the pre-made salads. This one was Thai noodle:
We stopped on Deck 11 to get Gelato:
Chocolate:
Peanut butter:
Hazelnut:
Next we headed to Crema Cafe for lattes:
Sunset:
Dinner tonight was at Marble & Co:
Aside from the length of time it takes to eat dinner at the sit-down restaurants, I also did not like that most tables for two are situated approximately 12-inches from the next table for two. Some nights this was fine and we had an enjoyable conversation with the people next to us. Other times, it was just awkward. At Marble and Co, an older couple was seated beside us. We were polite and greeted them, but then the gentleman started asking us questions, none of which he could hear the answer to. He kept saying, "I can't hear you!" so I ended up shouting answers to him in the middle of the restaurant.
Also, I wore dress pants and a polo shirt to the first restaurant and quickly realized I looked under-dressed. Everyone else was wearing long sleeve dress shirts or suits. Note: Polo shirts are allowed per the Explora dress code and no one gave me side-eye about it (at least that I saw), but switched to dress shirts and silk button-down shirts to make myself feel more comfortable for the remaining visits to the restaurants (other than the Emporium Marketplace).
Salad:
Lobster Bisque soup:
Filet mignon:
Lobster roll:
I had read some online reviews of the beef being tough on this ship no matter the cut, so I opted for the lobster roll, which was very good. Wifey took one for the team and ordered the filet mignon from France, and said at medium it was tender and flavorful. Since we'd been snacking throughout the day, we both opted out of dessert with tonight's meal.
Final step count for Day 10:
